Bodycare Wishlist #3

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, to be honest Valentine’s wasn’t really on my radar so I haven’t done any looks of special content #worstbloggerever. I do love a good wishlist post though and I had this one planned in so thought I’d post it anyway 😀 I hope you’re all having a lovely day whether that’s spending some time with a loved one or even giving yourself some self love because we all need to do that more! I’m aware that I’m rambling now so here’s the post – hope you like it!

1) Bilou Fizzy Berry Shower Foam £3.99 (Superdrug)
I first saw these on Hannah Heartss’ blog, adorable packaging aside I’m intrigued by the concept of a shower foam. The Cotton Candy scent is the one everyone seems to be talking about but I imagine it to be quite sickly so the Fizzy Berry sounds more up my street. Do I need this? No. Am I sucked in completely but the novelty? Possibly…

2) Burts Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream £9.99 (Boots)
I’ve having a serious love affair with hand cream right now. The cold weather keeps making my hands clammy and dry so I’m all but glued to hand sanitiser and hand cream to keep soreness and dryness at bay. I’m not overly enamoured with the pot design of this but the Almond and Milk sounds like a lovely scent and I’m a huge fan of almonds.

3) L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil £19.00 (L’Occitane)
Speaking of almonds, I have used the Amande Hand Cream before and I adored it so I’m curious about the shower oil. I’ve never actually used a shower oil before but the weather is making my skin super dry so I’m keen to give this a go and see if it helps, plus I’d get to smell like bakewell tarts is there anything better?

4) Lush Dirty Springwash Shower Gel £9.95 for 250g (Lush)
I feel like this is going to be particularly nice in the summer when you want to cool down and feel fresh but it’s still on my wishlist regardless. I love spearmint and I’ve had the soap of this which smells divine and is the most beautiful shade of blue. I currently have access to a shower instead of a bath so I’m keen to give this a go!

5) Lush Dream Cream £6.95 (Lush)
I suffer with dry skin and a little bit of Eczema on my body (I’m lucky in the fact that my Eczema is mild and could be so much worse) and I’m heard amazing things about this. This is free from paraffin which a lot of people seem to be allergic to plus Lush’s body products always leave my skin silky soft and smooth.

6) Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter £7.50 (Lush)
Final Lush product, I promise! I’ll be the first ti admit that my cuticles and nails are not in great shape. My cuticles are ragged and probably dehydrated and my nails always flake and snap. I’m currently using a nail oil by Essence which is helping but I feel that a cuticle butter would do my cuticles and nails the world of good. Plus I love the smell of lemons, ’nuff said.

7) Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Scrub £8.00 (Boots)
I am terrible for not exfoliating my body. I do have a scrub in my stash but I nearly always forget to use it and then I wonder why my skin is dry. I love the sound of this scrub, the blend of bananas, almonds and honey sounds absolutely heavenly so I think if I got this I’d actually remember to exfoliate, plus it’s great value for money with a huge jar at only £8.00.

8) Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream £18.00 (Cult Beauty)
I’ll be honest, despite all of the amazing reviews I’m not sure I’ll be spending £18.00 on a body cream anytime soon even if it does sound absolutely amazing. I’m a huge fan of coconut so reading descriptions of this scent and looking at the ingredients this sounds like it’s going to smell like a holiday. I’m all for a cream that is enriched with caffeine and can stimulate firmness too it’s just the price is putting me off at the moment, feel free to enable me though!

9) Vaseline Spray and Go Aloe Vera Moisturiser £6.59 (Boots)
I’m quite lazy plus it’s so cold that using body butter is an absolute chore right now as I hate feeling cold! I feel like this spray moisturiser is a handy alternative simply get out of the shower spray and go it’s as simple as that! I also like the smell of Aloe Vera so I think I’d get along with this.

10) Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium EDP £52.00 (Boots)
I’ve had this on my list forever and I do love the smell but this is hella expensive at £52.00 for 30ml. To be honest looking at the price points I’d be inclined to pay a tenner more just to get that extra 20ml. This isn’t a perfume I’d wear daily but it smells gorgeous and I really do need to stop drooling and just bite the bullet sometime…maybe.

That concludes this post, if you enjoyed it please hit the like button and let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these particularly the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is it worth the cost?

Thanks for reading!

I’m with you on the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream… it’s so expensive! I admit, I smelled it at Sephora and it’s very refreshing but I’m not sure about its claims.
I’ve tried the Vaseline Spray and Go moisturizer (in shea) and it is quite good! It absorbs very quickly into the skin.

    • Oh really that’s really interesting! I’m dubious about the claims to firm – so many creams promise to but I can never tell if they’re doing anything. I’m keen to give the Vaseline a try might have to pick it up 🙂
