LOTD Helena Bonham Carter Inspired

Vampy and gothic looks are my favourite looks to create simply because they’re one of my all time favourite looks to wear, so I thought it would be a lot of fun to do a Helena Bonham Carter inspired look of the day because not only is she stunning and an amazing actress but she nails the vampy look daily.helena
On my eyes:
Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black
I’m not 100% sure what I think of this liquid eyeliner because I really hate the sponge applicator, however I do like the black formula so I used this to line my upper lashline.
L’oreal Contour Kohl in Jet Black
I used this across my lids and smoked it out as well as using it on my lower waterline and lash line to get a really dramatic look.
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara by Grow Luscious
I used this on my lashes just to add definition and to darken them, this didn’t work great because of the liquid eyeliner which had clumped my lashes a little but it did the job.
Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Black/Brown
This was the final product for my eyes and I used this on my brows just to fill them in, darken them and to add a nicer and more defined shape.

On my Face:
Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer
I don’t really rate this primer but it was in my makeup bag so I decided to use it anyway. I just used this across my entire face as a base for my foundation.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Ivory
I applied this foundation first with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, I used a light coverage just to create a thin layer of foundation. When I wear this alone I use more of it and is has a dewy/satin finish.
Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Ivory
To get the flawless matte look the Helena often covets I then used my Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation in Ivory and applied it to my face with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I then used my fingers to blend in any bits that looked cakey for a flawless base.
Avon Morph Tones in Range of Rose
I used the creamy white highlighter from this just down the centre of my nose and across my cheekbones to highlight my bone structure and add some dimension to my face. I didn’t bother with a contour because Helena is very pale and doesn’t use bronzer.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
To set my makeup in place and to add the finishing touch, I used my Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent and added a light dusting across my face just to hold my makeup in place.

On my Lips:
Fuschia Cosmetics Lipstick in Vamp
I could have used a lip liner with this but mine needed a good sharpen and I couldn’t be bothered to find my sharpener so I went straight in with my Fuschia Cosmetics Lipstick in Vamp to get a really vampy, “just bitten” look to the lips.

So that is it for this post, I hope that you enjoyed it and if you did please hit the like button. Let me know in the comments what you think of this look and if you are a fan of Helena Bonham Carter.

Thanks for reading.
Love x
Nina
