Products I’ve Used Up | Empties #31

My last empties post was on April 23rd and I’m writing this ahead of time on the 9th of June, today’s post is going to be a long one because I’m binning 30 products! Most of these are products I’ve used up with a couple of declutters in there, it’s going to be a long post so grab a drink, settle down and if you make it until the end you are a trooper!

Haircare
Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist
This was okay, I wasn’t overly keen on the smell but it seems to work as I didn’t notice my hair getting particularly damaged from using a hairdryer and my straighteners on a regular basis.
Repurchase? Possibly.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner
I’ve used these before and I have repurchased, I do like this range however, I like to mix up my shampoos and conditioners.
Repurchase? In the future.

Colab Fruity Dry Shampoo
I like Colab a lot, I bought this after trying the original. It was okay, it didn’t quite feel as effective and I think I prefer the original scent to the fruity one. The packaging is adorable though.
Repurchase? Possibly.

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo
Batiste used to be my go-to until I discovered Colab, I’d probably use this in the future if I needed a dry shampoo and there was no Colab around, I’m not in a rush to repurchase though.
Repurchase? Possibly.

Skincare
Natural Sense Cotton Pads

I was given these by my partner’s mum, they were okay but they didn’t absorb very well and were a tad scratchy, I’m not sure where they are from.
Repurchase? No.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
My holy grail cleanser, I don’t exclusively use this but I do always go back to it, this does a particularly good job of keeping my face hydrated so it’s a good one for the colder months.
Repurchase? Yes.

Beauty Formulas Cucumber Clay Mask
This is my second tube of this and I’ve had to throw it as I’ve had a while and think it may have expired. I do like this however, it’s not something I feel like I absolutely must have.
Repurchase? Probably not.

Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist
I picked this up on a whim and it’s actually a lovely product. Great if you have normal to dry skin, it smells lovely and is perfect after a cleanse for freshening the face or in a morning. It’s not an essential but definitely a nice to have.
Repurchase? Yes.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
At first I wasn’t fully sold on this, it does smell strongly of rose which I’m not keen on however, it is a good cleanser, particularly when my face is oily.
Repurchase? Yes.

Organic & Botanic Amazonian Berry Moisturiser
I was sent this for PR, the berry scent is lovely and it is a very cooling cream however, I feel that it could be more hydrating, it also could be a little strong for my face sometimes leaving it a tad sore. This is very expensive at £50+ so I wouldn’t repurchase.
Repurchase? No.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
I picked this up since my skin has suddenly become more oily than dry, I love this, I do think it could be a tad harsher on spots however, I used this as a light moisturiser and it helped to balance my skin.
Repurchase? Yes.

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream Mini
I didn’t really like this, the smell didn’t appeal to be, it felt heavy on the eyes and I didn’t see a massive difference. I actually much prefer my Superdrug Vitamin E eye cream!
Repurchase? No.

Vichy Mineral 89 Sample
I love Vichy as a brand but I didn’t expect this product to blow me away as much as it did. I’ve never used a plumping product that actually worked and this instantly lifted my face, hydrated my skin and added glow. I’d definitely buy the full size.
Repurchase? Yes.

Makeup
Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter

I love the Born Lippy’s from The Body Shop but this left a white cast and I wasn’t keen on the scent either.
Repurchase? No.

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle
I love this stuff, it really helps my nails to grow which is great since they snap off! I already have another one of these.
Repurchase? Already have.

ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Teal
For the price this was really good, it also lasted ages before drying out, I probably wouldn’t purchase the teal shade again but I’d try the black.
Repurchase? Maybe the black one.

L’oreal Telescopic Mascara
One of my favourite mascaras, I have repurchased this however, I’m considering looking at some waterproof mascaras as I do have watery eyes and this does end up smudging throughout the day.
Repurchase? Already have.

L’oreal True Match Foundation
One of my favourite high street foundations, I like this for weekends, the only trouble is that it wipes off and transfers really easily and the longevity of it is very poor.
Repurchase? Probably but not yet.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation
My go-to foundation, I have since purchased another couple of bottles, one of which I’ve nearly finished. This stays on my face all day – so far it’s the only foundation to do so. The downside is that it is quite expensive.
Repurchase? Already have.

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker 3D Matte Lip in Berry Much
This is really affordable at £3.50 and it had a lovely texture and formula, I don’t think it is as matte as it makes out but for the price there’s no complaints. I don’t think I’d purchase this shade again though as I don’t wear as many purples now.
Repurchase? No.

Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit Mini
This is a declutter, my sister gave my this and I do already have the full size. My issue with the mini is the formula is entirely different, it’s much thicker, much more drying and the shade is slightly different.
Repurchase? Not the mini.

Nyx Lip Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt
Another one from my sister, neither of us liked this. I found this to be exceptionally drying which just isn’t something I want now there’s so many liquid lipsticks available.
Repurchase? No.

Sleek Brow Kit Brush
I’ve worked my way through the wax side and am using the powder side from ym Sleek Brow Kit, it did have two brushes, this one was for the wax however, it’s old and has shed a lot so time to go!
Repurchase? I’d repurchase the brow kit.

Bodycare

Dove Caring Handwash in Fine Silk
I really like this handwahs, not only does it smells great but it leaves the hands silky soft as the name would suggest, it made washing my hands a pelasure.
Repurchase? Yes.

Superdrug Crush Body Spray
This was okay, it had a citrus scent but bordered upon the sort of air freshener smell. Not bad but there’s other body sprays I prefer.
Repurchase? No.

Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Forever EDP
This was a gift, it’s a really affordable perfume that smells delicious. Citrus scents aren’t usually my sort of thing but the combination of notes in this is divine.
Repurchase? Yes.

Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Cream
One of my favourite shower products, it smells absolutely amazing, feels very luxurious on the skin and leaves my skin extra soft.
Repurchase? Yes.

Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel
This was okay, I liked the smell but it’s not as moisturising as the Nivea and that is a tad cheaper.
Repurchase? Probably not.

Dove Invisible Dry Deodorant in Floral Touch x2
My new go-to deodorant, this smells lovely and doesn’t irritate the skin.
Repurchase? Already have.

Phew there we have it, a whole lot of empties, I’m thinking I should do these more frequently and cut down on post size next time! I hope that you enjoyed this post and if you did please hit the like button, let me know what you’ve used up yourself recently in the comments!

Thanks for reading.
