L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer Review

I was in serious need of a primer and I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews of the L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer so I’ve been looking forward to trying this! Like every other makeup fan it seems, I’ve fallen in love with dewy makeup that makes the skin look healthy, hydrated and illuminated, here’s my thoughts on this cult primer.

The packaging is a little hit and miss for me on this one. I do love the slim tube (easy storage) and the pump on this which makes dispensing the product really easy. One thing I don’t like about this product and though is that you only get 20ml of this which I don’t think is a lot of product for £10.99.

L’Oreal describe this primer as the following:
L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer provides a light enriching base which illuminates the skin.Provides up to 8 hours of hydration.”

It’s a pretty simple description but I like how L’Oreal don’t go overboard on the claims, plus these claims are definitely delivered with this product. Moving onto the texture of this, when you squirt it out of the pump it’s a very light textured product, it smells really lovely and it’s also quite cooling. This reminds me almost of a lightly whipped cream and as you apply it to the skin it feels incredibly luxurious. This is hydrating and it blends into the skin so easily which I love.

This colour of this is an icy white shade and it does have shimmer present however, I really do want to express that this shimmer doesn’t translate onto the skin at all so I think these are more like light reflecting particles. This does look quite intense when swatched like this however, it blends like a dream.

These swatches show the product blended into the skin, as you can see it has this beautiful glow and when it catches the like it’s almost like a subtle illuminator. I’ve tried this under medium and full coverage foundations and I’m pleased to say that this doesn’t shine through too much like a highlighter but instead it adds this extra dewiness which I love. I’ve heard the phrase “lit from within” thrown around a lot and when I’ve tried highlighters I never really believed it however, that phrase definitely applies to this. When worn under foundation it just adds the most beautiful glow that shines through foundation and makes the skin look stunning.

I think this is an absolutely fantastic product and I’d say it’s the best primer I’ve tried all year and hands down the best primer I’ve ever tried for radiance. I just love how this is a high street product yet on the skin and once applied it just feels and looks extremely luxurious and high end. An absolutely fantastic product and one I’d highly recommend and definitely repurchase – if you’re yet to try this I urge you to go do so RIGHT NOW.

The L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer is readily available on the high street and online and can be purchased from Boots for £10.99.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and if you did please hit the like button, let me know in the comments if you have tried this primer and what your favourite radiance enhancing primers are.

I’ve not seen this around here but now I want to try it. The sheen it gives is so pretty, and would be perfect to liven up the skin during the winter months.
