Empties #26

So I’d actually not checked my empties box and then I realised that I’d used up an absolute ton of products and by ton I mean literally I’ve used up a lot. It’s actually a good thing, at the moment in the run up to Christmas I’m not buying myself anything new and I’m focusing on using up products especially as I know my partner will most likely buy me some beauty products. I’m pretty pleased with the amount I’ve used up so settle in with a hot beverage and enjoy the post!
Disclaimer: Some of these are products I’ve got rid of as I had a clearout!

Batiste Coconut Dry Shampoo x2
My go-to dry shampoo, I’m yet to find one as effective that doesn’t have the white cast but I’m still trying. I dislike the cast on this but it does work. I’ve already repurchase.
Johnsons Baby Shampoo
Again this is a go-to for me as I use it to wash my makeup brushes. I’ve already repurchased.
L’oreal Phytoclear Soothing Shampoo Sample
This was okay it did seem to clear up the dryness on my scalp however, it did makeup my hair greasy quickly. I wouldn’t repurchase.
L’oreal Phytoclear Rebalancing Shampoo Sample
This was the same as the one above but I found that the soothing version worked better for me, I wouldn’t repurchase this.
Schwarzkopf Gloss Total Repair Conditioner x2
This leaves my hair super silky, I particularly like this when my hair is dry however, I’m currently switching up my shampoo and conditioner. I would repurchase in the future.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Total Repair Shampoo
Just like the conditioner I really like this, it hydrates my hair and scalp but I’m switching up my haircare products, I would repurchase this.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Colour Protect Shampoo
This didn’t seem to do much for colour protection but it did keep my hair shiny and soft. I wouldn’t repurchase this as I prefer the Total Repair.

La Roche Posay Tolaraine Yeux Sample
This did a good job of hydrating my undereyes and I think it would be great for sensitive and tired eyes however, it’s not aimed at my skin so I don’t need it so I wouldn’t repurchase.
No7 Soft and Gentle Cleanser
I really like this cleanser, it’s not my favourite but it does a good job and it’s affordable. It’s gentle enough that it doesn’t irritate my skin which is always a welcome bonus so I would repurchase.
Johnsons Baby Wipes
I picked these up for swatches and for lazy days. In honesty I try not to use face wipes too much as they do dry out the skin and they don’t remove my makeup effectively. I will most likely pick these up in the future but for now I’ve bought another cleanser instead.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Sample
This was quite a nice moisturiser it sunk into my skin and felt really lovely and hydrating. I don’t need a new moisturiser at the moment as I’m trying to use up the one I have ut I would repurchase this.
Wilko’s Baby Cotton Wool Balls
These were okay there’s no much to say other than they were useful and they’re not overpriced so I’d repurchase in the future.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation in Bone
This is my go-to foundation, I do find though that I wish I could wear something with less coverage that would stay in place all day. For now though, I’m yet to find something that is as long-wearing so I’ve picked this up again.
Max Factor Crème Puff Face Powder in Truly Fair
Initially I liked this and it is a step up from the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder which seems to cling to dryness. Having said that this did make my makeup cakey so I stopped wearing this. It’s been in my stash for a while so I decided to throw this it keeps getting that dry skin on it.
Guerlain La Petit Robe Noir Lipstick Samples x2
These were really nice lipsticks however, I do think that they would be a little high maintenance for daywear as they’re quite glossy. They’re also quite expensive and while the samples were lovely to use I don’t know if I’d purchase them as I have a lot of lipstick and I prefer other formulas.
Illamasqua Lipstick in Kontrol
At one point this was my favourite lipstick but now I’m working full time it’s difficult to find a time when I can wear a grey toned purple lipstick. I’ve had this ins my collection for a few years now so I thought it would be wise to get rid of it before it expired. I wouldn’t repurchase this.
MAC Lipstick in Brave
I actually fully used up this lipstick and I really liked it. The formula is comfortable on the lips and the pink shade was such a pretty shade that I wore it on a daily basis. I’d highly recommend this and it’s worth the hype I would repurchase this.
Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation Sample
This foundation was a bit of a strange one it does have very light coverage and doesn’t have a long wear time so it’s not really one for me however, the formula was really nice and it made my skin look lovely. I wouldn’t repurchase but I think lots of people will like this.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in Nude
This is a staple in my routine as I find that black liner can be a bit messy throughout the day. This brightens my eyes and stops my eyes looking red which is great for work days I’ve already repurchased this.

Body and Fragrance
Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel
I love a good hand gel especially now that there’s lots of nasty viruses that are floating around! This one wasn’t my favourite the scent was quite sweet and bordering on sickly I actually prefer the bubblegum. I did get another Carex hand gel but this time the Aloe Vera scent.
Charlie Touch Bodyspray
This did the job at freshening me up and as a teenager I loved this one however, trying it again I hadn’t realised how strong the rose scent was and I’ll admit I’m not the biggest rose fan so I wouldn’t repurchase this.
Ghost Eclipse ETD 30ml
I love this perfume it’s the perfect combination of sweet and fruity and it always lifts my mood when I smell it. I’ve gone through two of these now and I would repurchase this in the future.
Grace Cole Passionfruit and Guava Body Mist
I really liked this however, it’s quite bulky and I lost the lid so couldn’t carry it around with me to use it more! I’ve had this for a long time and now the smell has changed and gone more alcohol-like so I’m throwing this one out. I did enjoy using this though and I’d buy it again in the future.
Impulse Rock and Love Bodyspray Mini
I’m yet to review this but I really liked the scent of this, I believe it has an amber note which sweetens it up and makes it a warm sweet scent. I would repurchase this.
Impulse Truelove Bodyspray Mini
This is quite a sweet scent yet it manages not to be sickly. Again I enjoyed using this mini and I would purchase the full size.
Impulse Tease Bodyspray
As you may have guessed I quite like Impulse bodysprays and this one is my favourite. I love the moutherwatering red fruity notes and he warm sweet base. It’s a lovely scent and I’d wear this in perfume form if I could, I would repurchase.
Soft and Gentle Wild Rose and Vanilla Deodorant x2
My go-to deodorant this is the only one that doesn’t irritate my underarms or my Eczema. This smells lovely, keeps me fresh and it’s budget friendly. I’ve already repurchased this.
Superdrug Dreamy Bodyspray
This was limited edition but to be honest I wasn’t enamoured with it, it was far too sweet and synthetic. I wouldn’t repurchase.
Superdrug Tease Bodyspray
This smelled incredibly similar to Dreamy, it was more fruity but still way too sweet, I wouldn’t repurchase.
Lush Milky Bath Bubblebar
I really enjoyed using this, it smells lovely, leaves my skin soft and generally was a pleasure to use. Another winning Lush product, I would repurchase this.
Nivea Coconut Shower Crème
This was okay, I’m a fan of Nivea and I like Coconut but it wasn’t my favourite scent. From Nivea my favourite scent is the Cashmere Moments which is divine to use. I have a different shower cream so I probably wouldn’t repurchase or at least not any time soon.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Chai
I really liked this nail polish. I’m a huge fan of the range and the grey was a really nice neutral shade I could wear to work. I would repurchase this.
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Watermelon
My boyfriend picked this shade out and I’ll admit he did well it’s a really nice inky green nail polish and definitely an autumn worthy shade. I’ve used this up now, the only downside is that it does stain the nails. I’d possibly repurchase this.
Barry M Nail Art Pen
I didn’t get as much use out of this as I’d hoped, the polish wasn’t great and the pen had a chunky nib so you got much more than you needed. This reminded me of tippex so I wouldn’t repurchase.
Essie Nail Polish in Lapiz of Luxury
I got this in a set but I actually preferred the pale pink shade Muchi Muchi. Having said that this baby blue was a nice polish and shade but it chipped quickly and there’s other polishes I prefer so I probably wouldn’t repurchase.
GOSH Nail Lacquer in Ocean
I did like this polish as the turquoise shot through with gold is very pretty. The formula though was tricky to apply without it going streaky and it turned gloopy quite quickly so I wouldn’t repurchase.
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Damson Dream
This was a gift, I did like the metallic red shade and the brush and formula were nice. The downside to this was that it didn’t turn opaque in one coat so I needed to use at least two to get a solid, non patchy colour. I’d possibly repurchase.

If you made it to the end up the post congratulations because that was over 30 empties! I hope you did enjoy this post though and if you did please hit the like button. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products.

Well done on all the empties! They do pile up, don’t they?
I use baby wipes for swatches too – I picked up ones from Burts Bees from our version of TKMaxx and it is great.
MAC lipstick in Brave is so lovely – it took me ages to get it and now I wonder why I waited so long!
How do you manage to finish up whole bottles of nail polish! That’s an impossible task for me.

    • Thank you and yes they certainly do! I should probably stop buying baby wipes – it’s tempting to use them on my face on lazy days and I always regret it, also Brave is a stunning shade! As for nail polish some of these went gloopy, other ones I just used to often I tried to do a bit of a no-buy and not buy more products top try and use up what I have 🙂
