Empties #25

I didn’t actually realise how many products I’d used up until I checked and realised that the stash I’d squirreled away for the past few months had grown rather large…oops. Today’s post will share the products that I’ve used up over the past few months. This will be a long post so I’m going to get straight into it!

Haircare
Batiste Coconut Dry Shampoo x 3
The fact that I’ve gone through three of these shows that I’m pretty loyal to Batiste! I do love the smell and the fact that these dry shampoos do work to mask any oiliness or grease the only downside is the white cast which I wish wasn’t there.

Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo
My mum gave me this to try out, I was intrigued by the use of tapioca and this smelled really nice a fruity yet minty scent. Unfortunately this also left white cast and was less effective at dealing with oil.
Repurchase? No.

Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Colour Shampoo and Conditioner
I bought these after dyeing my hair and they definitely leave my hair incredibly soft, silky and nourished which I really love. I wish the bottles were bigger but well worth the pound each that they cost.

Skincare
Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel (Mini 15ml)
I got this mini in a beauty box a while ago and I really liked it. This is a cream based chemical exfoliator. It works really well plus it smells absolutely divine and feels luxurious on the skin. Definitely one I’d use again.
Repurchase? Yes.

Balance Me Radiance Face Mask (mini 30ml)
Another one that I got in a beauty box. This one has a light herbal scent that isn’t too appealing but isn’t horrific either. Again I quite like this, it has a texture to it so you can manually exfoliate but as far as I’m aware it doesn’t contain microbeads.
Repurchase? Possibly.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Moisturiser Sample
I really was impressed with the effectiveness of this moisturiser it worked well to hydrate my skin and it didn’t irritate. This is a nice budget friendly option that surprised me at how well it worked, I’m looking forward to trying the sheet mask.
Repurchase? Yes.

Bodycare
Soft and Gentle Wild Rose and Vanilla Roll on Deodorant x3
Not the most exciting option but one that I use a lot! I do use too much deodorant so I go through these quickly but they don’t irritate my skin and they smell lovely and work well.

Palmolive Milk and Honey Shower Cream
I fancied a change so decided to pick this up to try. The smell was quite nice although I think it could have smelled a tad nicer. I wasn’t fond of the yellow colour however, this left my skin super soft, smooth and smelling nice.
Repurchase? Possibly.

Charlie Black Bodyspray
A great product for throwing in your bag and topping up throughout the day. Even now I’m in my twenties I love how sophisticated this smells and the mixture of cherry and vanilla makes this a wonderful scent that I’ll use time and time again.
Repurchase? Yes.

Radox Berry Burst Shower Cream
An old favourite, the Radox Shower Creams feel much more luxurious than the price tag would suggest. This smells amazing and it always leaves my skins soft and nourished, definitely one I’ll go back to time and time again.
Repurchase? Yes.

Makeup
Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation in Bone
My go to foundation this is pretty expensive at around £35 a bottle but it works so well. It’s the only foundation that stays on my face all day which is why I always fork out for it. This does cover absolutely everything but it isn’t light in coverage or texture.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
A cult product and for good reason this concealer just works for me. It’s budget friendly and the packaging always ends up looking grimy however, the concealer itself hides my under eye shadows and doesn’t crease or cake on me.

Organic Glam Mascara
I was given this by a friend. To be honest I liked the separation that this gave but it didn’t offer much volume at all and I found the results to be disappointed I wanted something more dramatic.
Repurchase? No.

Clinique Superprimer Universal Face Primer
This was one of those products that just didn’t really seem to do anything, I noticed no difference in the longevity of my makeup and this didn’t really change the texture of my skin or pores either.
Repurchase? No.

Body Shop Raspberry Born Lippy Lip Balm
Cheap and cheerful these products are a nice nourishing balm to use throughout the day. I love the scent however, it is very potent, I also find that these can feel a tad sticky on the lips (though that doesn’t bother me.) Other downsides include the pot application which feels hygienic after a while.
Repurchase? Probably.

Clinique High Impact Mascara (mini)
This wasn’t bad it definitely added volume and darkened my lashes, I did find the formula to transfer though owing to the wetness of it. I also found that this had the potential to clump lashes and didn’t always separate them like I wanted.
Repurchase? No.

Nails
Jamberry Nail Wraps
I was lucky enough to get a sample of these. I’ll be honest I didn’t expect to like these wraps as much as I did but I fell in love with the convenience, easy application and design. The downside to these is the cost, they’re nice but I’m not sure if they’re £15.00 nice.
Repurchase? No.

Seventeen Nail Colour in Carribean Coral
I got this in a set and whilst I love the colour I find the formula to lack. This chips really easily, I also found application to be a pain in the fact that this could go on patchily and unevenly. Finally, this went gloopy quicker than most.
Repurchase? No.

Revlon Top Speedy Fast Dry Nail Enamel in Black Star
I loved this polish, an unusual alternative to black this deep grey with shimmer was one that I really enjoyed using. I’m sad that Revlon has discontinued this nail range as I was impressed with the two polishes that I tried.
Repurchase? I would if it was available.

Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
I’ve gone through a couple of these now, I will have a review up at some point but I will say for now that this definitely helps with nail growth. The only downside is that it seems to go gloopy quickly which means I go through it quicker than I’d like.
Repurchase? Already have.

The Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel sounds good – it’s such a pricy brand though!
Good job on finishing so many items especially the makeup and nail polishes! 🙂
