My Top Three Cleansers

I feel like a bit of a preacher here but we all know the importance of cleansing, and if you don’t give it a try I promise you that your skin will thank you for it! I’ve tried a lot of cleansers and I’ve reviewed each one and so I thought it would be good to share my favourite three after all, when reviewing and trying so many it’s easy for them to get lost in the midst. They’re all different formulas at different prices so here’s hoping that you will find one for yourself.
Note – My skin is combination but on the drier side and it is sensitive with eczema, my friend with psoriasis also uses these and loves them so if you have sensitive skin don’t fear.

1) Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser £14.00 (Liz Earle)
liz-earle
There’s a wide range of these on the Liz Earle store ranging from different sizes to starter sets and the likes but here is the original Cleanse and Polish which came with two muslin cloths. I adore this cleanser, it’s a thick yet cooling cream that you massage into the skin and then remove with warm water. (I use flannels over muslin cloths as I prefer the texture and they exfoliate better.) The scent of this is very natural and soothing as it contains plenty of great ingredients such as rosemary and camomile to soothe and cleanse the skin. This is great for dry skin or in winter but I’d happily use it all year round, one pump is all you need and it offers a deep cleanse leaving baby soft skin behind afterwards.

2) Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil £11.00 (Body Shop)

This used to be a tenner (don’t think I didn’t notice the extra pound Body Shop!) and this is a luxurious feeling oil which is great for oilier skin to cleanse without stripping the face of natural oils which in turn can stop the overproduction of sebum (that oil that causes spots.) This hydrates the skin and melts away makeup including stubborn waterproof mascara. Again you simply apply this to the face and massage in gently (close your eyes) and then remove with warm water and a flannel of cloth of your choice. The oil works to break down makeup and dry skin without leave your skin tight or red, I love this in spring and autumn when it’s not too hot or cold but again this is another great all rounder. This also smells like camomile which is incredibly relaxing and soothing.

3) No7 Soft and Soothed Gentle Cleanser £8.00 (Boots)
no7

This is great if you prefer a cool lotion that is quick and easy to work with. This one by No7 has a delicate scent that’s very relaxing and it feels very cooling and gentle on the skin which is perfect for irritated or sensitive skin. This is a pale pinkish white cream that you apply to the face and massage in circular motions again before removing with warm water and a flannel. Unlike the Cleansing Oil this leaves behind no residue and it has a similar feel to the Liz Earle but at a friendlier price. This is lovely to use on a day to day basis and again hydrates my skin without leaving it greasy or oily.

That concludes this post, if you enjoyed this please hit the like button and let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these or which one you’d go for. Feel free to follow me if you’re not already for more daily posts.
