Easter Inspired – Pastel Polka Dot Nails

One thing I love about spring is the cute nail art and the pastel polishes that make me think of flowers, sunshine, blue skies and of course Easter, so I’ve been rocking these nails for the Easter Weekend.

(My Easter Nail Design)

You Will Need:
Five Pastel Polishes- I find a pale blue, lilac, pink, mint or lime green and yellow works the best.
Black and White Nail Art Pens or Thin Tipped Polishes or Polishes and a small dotting tool.
Top Coat of your Choice.

Step One:
After applying a base coat, paint your nails with your pastel polishes applying one polish per nail then repeat on your opposite hand.
I used:
Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish in Electric Yellow
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear
Essie Nail Colour in Muchi Muchi
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Key Lime.

Step Two:
Next up is the dots, start with one colour and apply dots diagonally in lines across each nail, be sure to leave enough space between each line of dots for the next line.

Step Three:
Take your other colour (if you started with white switch to black and vice versa) and apply another line of diagonal dots in between the other lines of dots.

Step Four:
Add a top coat of your choice to seal you design into place and to add glossiness. I used Seche Vite Top Coat.
