I vividly remember the day that Essence beauty came to the UK, only days after the launch in Wilkos and after reading a montage of great reviews I rushed out and purchased some products, then a few months later went and grabbed some more. One of the products that I fell for big style was the Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush in Heatwave. A gradient style blusher that was (and still is) unlike any other blusher that I have owned or tried and that’s big words coming from me. Here’s my thoughts.
So this is the product, my packaging is a little dirty (say hello to the big splodge of kohl) but I like to say that it’s well love. The plastic packaging is clear with silver writing but I think that the gradient blusher speaks for, and advertises itself. The product is priced at a mere £3.50.
Rather than a swatch or the product on my face (it’s very dark out and my camera is washing out the colour) I thought I’d show you the product on the brush so you can see it mixed together. The colour is a bright orange and hot pink gradient in the pan, which when swirled together oon a brush creates a summery fusion of colour.
In terms of the product, this product is pigmented yet blends well and feels incredibly soft and silky on the skin, it lasts all day when I apply it to the apples of my cheeks with my blusher brush.
I think what I really love (aside from the packaging and soft texture) is the colour, this isn’t an orange or a pink or a coral, to me it’s a unique colour in it’s own right and it’s nothing like any of the blushers I own making it really unique.
I love this and am incredibly impressed, Essence have also released a pink version of this which I’m not too fussed about because it looks as if it would be similar to Benefit’s Hervana which I recently bought, but I do love this orange toned blusher.
I love this and although I have at least fifteen other blushers (I counted) I would repurchase this as it’s so different. I would definitely recommend.
The Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush in Heatwave is available here for £3.50.
