Hey everyone, so I’ve finally got round to doing another empties post and thank god because I really have collected quite a few empty bottles, this post is mainly haircare and body products such as deodorant and body sprays simply because I go through those the quickest, however I have some skincare and makeup thrown in too, I hope you enjoy this post!
The first product I’m going to talk about is the Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple Herbal Conditioner, I use this as an everyday conditioner, although recently I’ve switched to a different one, but this is nice for normal hair that doesn’t require any added moisture or volume which you can get specialised conditioners for. This product is 99p and can be bought here, I have repurchased this as my boyfriend also really likes it. I also finally used up my V05 Smoothly Does It Curl Defining Mousse, I’ve found that with V05 products they can be very hit and miss, some are great and others are disappointing. This was bought for me by my sister for Christmas and I actually loved it. I have naturally curly/wavy hair but it can be prone to frizz yet this helps to really define the curls and make them look nicer. It’s relatively cost friendly at £3.79 from Superdrug (click here to buy). I haven’t yet repurchased it as I am giving some other hair products a trial run but I will repurchase in the future. I also used up my Schwarzkopf Gliss Shine Tonic. In terms of repairing the hair this doesn’t do anything special however it is very good at making your hair look super glossy and shiny with a few spritzes. My hair is currently coloured black and therefore can be prone to looking dull and this product always livens it up. I have repurchased this already and you can also buy it here for £1.24. The final haircare product was also from my sister for Christmas (she’s obsessed with hair products) and it’s the travel sized Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo. I absolutely loved this, it has a really nice sweet scent similar to bubblegum and it always leaves my hair super soft and silky, this is especially good for those who suffer with a dry scalp (like me) as it infuses the hair with moisture without making it look greasy. You can get the travel sized version for £2.00 by clicking here, or if you already are a fan of Aussie you can purchase the full size here.
Scent and Odour Control
(Soft and Gentle Anti Stress Aromatherapy Deodorant in Lavender and Patchouli, Sure Bright Fragrance Collection Deodorant, So…Daring Body Spray, Impulse Tease Body Spray, Nivea Pearl and Beauty Deodorant.)
So now onto the slightly less interesting part of this post (but let’s get it out of the way) and that is body sprays and deodorants. I know that this may seem like a lot but I’ve been collecting these empties for months and so it’s only natural that I have used up a fair few products. The first is the Soft and Gentle Anti Stress Aromatherapy Deodorant in Lavender and Patchouli. In all honesty I hate the smell of Lavender however this deodorant doesn’t smell too strongly of it. It is a floral scent which is pleasant but not my favourite scent of all time. It worked reasonably well, I do prefer roll ons rather than spray deodorants as sprays do tend to flake all over me and they don’t prevent odour as well so this one did the job you can buy it here for £1.00. The second product is the Sure Bright Fragrance Collection Deodorant, this one is absolutely lovely, I’ve just finished it and it has a really fresh, clean smell like clean washing which I really like. It works really well and can be bought here for £1.79. The next product is a body spray by So…? and it is the So…? Daring Body Spray. I really love this it’s really fruity with a sweet scent mixed in and smells like red berries. I always feel really summery wearing this but unfortunately a lot of people must feel the same way as it’s always sold out in my local Bodycare. If you like fruity and sweet scents I’d definitely recommend this body spray you can buy it here for £1.99. Impulse Tease does have a similar scent to So…Daring however it is a little more fruity and a little less sweet, I do prefer the So…Daring? scent but this is a great alternative for when my favourite is sold out, you can purchase it here for £1.99. My final product is another deodorant and it’s the Nivea Pearl and Beauty Deodorant, this one smells lovely as expected but what I really love is the glass packaging and the pearly fluid as it looks really pretty on my dresser. This one is super great at preventing odour and smells floral and fresh as well leaving my underarms feeling smooth, soft and clean. You can purchase this deodorant for £2.09 here.
There’s only one product that I have used up in my skincare regime and that is my Argan Oil Cleansing Facial Wipes. I purchased these from my local Poundland (for a pound obviously) after spotting them and decided to give them a whirl. If I’m hones they’re not great and they did feature in my last disappointing products post. They really struggle to remove any of my makeup which really annoys me and they feel very stiff and greasy on the hands as opposed to just moist like most baby wipes. I didn’t notice any specific changes in my skin when I used these, the only positive was that they smelled nice kind of like apples. I wasn’t really a massive fan of these facial wipes but you can purchase them here for £1.00.
I’ve mentioned these so many times but I purchased them fell in love with them and repurchased them and then my sister went and bought me more of them so I’ve worked my way through many of these. I did feature these in my Top Ten Shower Gels post as I think that they’re really nice to use. Both smell absolutely divine, are super moisturising on the skin and only cost a pound, I will definitely be repurchasing them in the future but for now have switched to some other shower gels to give them a try so I don’t get fed up of the same scents, you can purchase Berry Burst here and Coconut Kiss here.
So I finally used up this foundation and I was actually really sad about finishing it because it really is amazing. I haven’t yet repurchased it because I did want to try the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation and I have another one to try and review as well but I definitely will be repurchasing this in the future. It offers great coverage, matches my skin perfectly, lasts for ages and is just generally a lovely product. I do prefer it to the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation as I find the formula of the Wake Me Up Foundation a little cakey, but the Match Perfection Foundation has a really nice formula that laves you with a satiny finish. You can buy this foundation here for £6.99.
So that is my empties and finally I can declutter my room a little bit and throw them out, I hope you enjoyed this post, please hit the like button if you did and feel free to follow me if you are not already doing so. Also let me know which products you have used up in the comments as I love hearing from you.
