Vampy Lips – Three Dark Lipsticks Tried and Tested

One of the hugest trends that I am a ma-hoooo-sive fan of is the vampy lip and let’s face it we all want to achieve that “just bitten” look on our lips especially in the winter months. From Berry to Red I’ve tried and tested three different coloured lipsticks to see which shades I’ll be rocking and which ones I’ll be dropping.

Rimmel London Moisture Renewal Lipstick in Plumful

(Model is only wearing one coat, two coats provides a much darker and vampy finish)

So I’ve raved on about this lipstick before but it really is excellent. Most lipsticks are pain in the ass in the fact that they leave lips dryer than the Sahara desert, however Rimmel London Moisture Renewal lipsticks combine a unique blend of three moisturising ingredients to ensure that your lips remain super soft as well as rocking a beautiful colour. Simply slick on one coat for a daytime look or unleash your inner vampire with two coats to get a darker finish.

Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick (Black)

So I know that not everyone wears black lipsticks but I think with the right outfit they can look really nice, so I’ve reviewing one anyway. Black lipsticks are horribly known for their gritty feel however the Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick is soft enough to moisturise the lips and creates a matte finish. It’s at an easily affordable price and if you add a coat of Lipcote over the top it lasts for hours. Don’t worry guys, black isn’t the only colour that Miss Sporty offers, there’s an entire range waiting out there for you!

Mua Lip Boom in Bring it

So technically this isn’t a lipstick but it creates such a nice vampy red with several coats that I just had to review it. Mua’s lip boom comes in a double ended stick one end is the lipstick itself which comes in many different shades and the the other end is a highlighting gloss which is perfect if you prefer a glossy finish over a matte finish. The model hasn’t used the highlighting gloss so we can take a look at the colour. Mua Lip boom is prefect for creating a satin finish and is highly pigmented which is perfect for creating an explosive pop of colour on the lips. It’s perfect at an affordable price, so really what more can we ask for?

So that’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did don’t forget to like! If you’ve tried any of these products or have your own perfect lipstick in a dark colour, let me know in the comments!
